    <title>About This Site</title>
    <para>This Web site is maintained in <acronym
        expansion="Extensible Markup Language" id="XML">XML</acronym>.
      It has recently been revamped; the new application will be
      described soon in the <link extref="pub/index.html"
        title="Published Work">publications section</link>.</para>
    <para>Web browsers that properly implement <acronym ref="XML"/>,
      <acronym expansion="XSL Transformations"
        id="XSLT">XSLT</acronym>, and <acronym expansion="Hypertext
        Markup Language" id="HTML">HTML</acronym> can render the
      <acronym ref="XML"/> version of the site directly, as indicated
      by links at the bottom of the pages.  The <acronym ref="HTML"/>
      rendition uses <acronym expansion="Cascading Style Sheets"
        id="CSS">CSS</acronym> level 2; while no content should be
      missing in any browser, the navigational links look a bit odd in
      some older browsers, particularly Netscape Navigator versions 4
      and earlier.</para>
